2013 was the 60th anniversary of the Memphis Botanic Garden and will go down as one of our most memorable.
||Memorable because, to name a few, we opened the Asian Garden that has
already been recognized as a premiere destination, recorded our 7th
consecutive attendance year at Live at The Garden, added three new
digital signs that improved our communication with the public and
our image of being a major Memphis attraction, continued to impact
education by reaching over 36,000 children through
programs and festivals,
lights to showcase the surroundings of the Four Seasons Garden, began
construction on a permanent stage, living wall, box office,
and a new building that will help sustain the financial health of the
years to come, maintained our debt free and financially sound status,
anattendance record for Snowy Nights, and improved the overall quality
of our horticultural offerings in almost every aspect of our 96 acres.
Momentum in 2014 will continue as we renovate the Sculpture
Garden and the Sensory Garden to make both of these already appealing areas
even more so, completing construction, and opening the new stage
and performing arts venue, creating more educational opportunities for children
and adults, and continuing to upgrade our horticultural offerings. The
Garden will have another great year in 2014.
Thanks to all our volunteers and supporters in their
partnership with us and we look forward to growing these relationships in 2014.
